He shot these three men \u2013 and three pigeons \u2013 outside partly renovated flats on London\u2019s Jamaica Road in Bermondsey. At the time, he was constantly on the lookout for \u201cbig architectural ideas from the postwar period\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was using my phone as a sketchbook to record what I found,\u201d says Pitts, whose work can be seen at <a href=\"https:\/\/thephotographersgallery.org.uk\/whats-on\/johny-pitts-home-not-place\" title=\"\">the Photographers\u2019 Gallery<\/a> in London until 24 September. \u201cYou\u2019d be surprised how quickly things disappear.
