Music publishers Universal Music, ABKCO and Concord Publishing sued the artificial intelligence company Anthropic in Tennessee federal court on Wednesday, accusing it of misusing \u201cinnumerable\u201d copyrighted song lyrics to train its chatbot Claude.<\/p>\n

The lawsuit said Anthropic violates the publishers\u2019 rights through its use of lyrics from at least 500 songs ranging from the Beach Boys\u2019 God Only Knows and the Rolling Stones\u2019 Gimme Shelter to Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars\u2019 Uptown Funk and Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s Halo.<\/p>\n
