He\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/technology\/2022\/nov\/05\/twitter-launches-8-blue-tick-subscription-service\">opened up<\/a> verification, once reserved for notable users, to anyone that pays a $8 subscription fee, making it impossible to tell who\u2019s real and who\u2019s not. He\u2019s blown up messaging, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2023\/7\/21\/23803632\/elon-musk-spam-twitter-blue-dms\">restricting<\/a> the platform\u2019s ability to privately text nearly any user to only those who pay.
