The measure comes in direct response to the proliferation of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/music\/2024\/jan\/28\/taylor-swift-x-searches-blocked-fake-explicit-images\">pornographic AI-made images of Taylor Swift<\/a> on X, formerly Twitter, in recent days.<\/p>\n<p>The measure would allow victims depicted in nude or sexually explicit \u201cdigital forgeries\u201d to seek a civil penalty against \u201cindividuals who produced or possessed the forgery with intent to distribute it\u201d or anyone who received the material knowing it was not made with consent.
