Game developers have come up with a few answers \u2013 or at least, they\u2019ve tried. There\u2019s the straightforward approach of something like Mario Paint<em>, <\/em>where players are handed a mouse accessory and creation tools similar to Microsoft Paint. In \u014ckami, a painter\u2019s brush is used as a weapon and a magic wand in a Zelda-like world. In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/technology\/gamesblog\/2012\/jun\/07\/unfinished-swan-games-preview\">The Unfinished Swan<\/a>, the world (and the story) are gradually revealed by the player\u2019s spattered ink.<\/p>\n<p>Forthcoming painting game \u00c9t\u00e9 is less about the process of making art on a canvas, and more about making players feel as if they are making the world more beautiful.
