The facility would be run by the company\u2019s Chinese battery maker Envision AESC.<\/p>\n<p>It is slated to open in 2024 and would produce 6 gigawatt hours of battery capacity a year, far more than Nissan\u2019s existing Sunderland plant, which has a capacity of 1.9GWh.
