an A$50m settlement with Australia\u2019s privacy regulator.<\/p>\n<p>The settlement, announced by the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) on Tuesday, follows a four-year legal battle against Meta over the scandal, and two years since <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/business\/2022\/dec\/23\/facebook-owner-to-settle-class-action-suit-over-cambridge-analytica-scandal\">a US$725m legal settlement was reached in the United
