The text of the Protecting Americans From Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act, passed in April and signed by Joe Biden, reads: \u201cThis bill prohibits distributing, maintaining, or providing internet hosting services for a foreign adversary controlled application (eg, TikTok).\u201d Both a federal appeals court and the US supreme court have affirmed that rationale as sufficient.<\/p>\n
