The Indian competition commission is to relaunch an investigation into Amazon\u2019s selling practices, which will examine the company\u2019s \u00a31bn a year joint venture with UK chancellor Rishi Sunak\u2019s billionaire father-in-law.<\/p>\n

The investigation, originally announced in January 2020, will proceed after an Indian court on Friday dismissed pleas by Amazon and its rival \u2013 the Walmart-owned Flipkart \u2013 to quash its investigation into the business practices of the huge US retailers.<\/p>\n
