But are buyers savvy investors \u2013 or unwitting dupes?<\/p>\n<p>The photographer Jeff McCurry\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/okbuddyretard\/comments\/ev5tug\/here_guys_i_added_kobe_to_the_epic_harambe_heaven\/\" title=\"\">favourite Harambe memes<\/a> are the ones where the dead gorilla is in heaven, Photoshopped alongside Diana, Princess of Wales, Tupac and Muhammad Ali. \u201cIt\u2019s like: <em>wow<\/em>,\u201d says McCurry. \u201cWhat greater spot can you be placed in? Harambe\u2019s at the top of the hill, waiting to meet you there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>McCurry took the photograph of the 17-year-old western lowland gorilla that went on to become a meme. In it, Harambe kneels, projecting a fearsome aura of strength, nobility and calm. A former volunteer photographer at Cincinnati zoo, McCurry was there on 28 May 2016, the fateful day a three-year-old boy climbed into the gorilla\u2019s enclosure, forcing zookeepers to shoot Harambe dead. \u201cIt didn\u2019t seem real at first,\u201d says McCurry, who was a regular visitor to the zoo. \u201cWhen any of your friends die, it\u2019s hard to process.
