The Canadian film-maker, who won an Oscar in 2023 for the documentary <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/film\/2022\/jan\/27\/navalny-review-shocking-documentary-of-a-russian-poisoning\">Navalny<\/a>, first became interested in the topic while experimenting with tools released by OpenAI, the company behind the chatbot ChatGPT.
