Information Commissioner\u2019s Office to investigate whether Elon Musk\u2019s companies have complied with data protection law<\/p>\n

The Information Commissioner\u2019s Office (ICO) has opened formal investigations into X and xAI over whether Elon Musk\u2019s companies have complied with data protection law after the Grok AI tool was used to generate sexual deepfake images without consent.<\/p>\n

The ICO said the reports raised \u201cserious concerns\u201d under UK data protection laws, such as whether \u201cappropriate safeguards were built into Grok\u2019s design and deployment\u201d.<\/p>\n
