As some of the world\u2019s largest companies invest billions to advance battery technology, Dominic Spooner has been working at solving the next problem: the impact of unwieldy \u2013 and environmentally unfriendly \u2013 battery casings.<\/p>\n

Spooner runs his lightweight battery casing technology firm Vaulta from a shared garage in Brisbane\u2019s north. \u201cBatteries will change our lives in ways that we\u2019re maybe not even totally aware of, but \u2026 we can create our own new group of problems if we\u2019re not careful,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n
