But this year the new lower-cost MacBook Neo has muddied the waters.<\/p>\n<p>The M5 MacBook Air starts at \u00a31,099 (\u20ac1,199\/$1,099\/A$1,799) for the 13in version, which is \u00a3100 or equivalent more than last year\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/technology\/2025\/apr\/10\/apple-macbook-air-m4-review-the-laptop-to-beat-now-cheaper\">excellent M4 version<\/a>, but comes with at least 512GB of storage.
