Though the description of these as \u201chacks\u201d is perhaps overstating things, AI has exploited issues in IT systems that humans simply haven\u2019t got around to finding. It\u2019s also important to note that we shouldn\u2019t be worried that the machines have suddenly become sentient and decided to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/technology\/2026\/sep\/09\/ai-superintelligence-risks-warnings-scientists-politicians\">rebel against humanity<\/a>. There is not enough evidence to suggest that\u2019s what is happening.
