The campaigning Philippines journalist Maria Ressa, who was last week awarded the Nobel peace prize<\/a>, has launched a stinging attack on Facebook, accusing the social media firm of being a threat to democracy that was \u201cbiased against facts\u201d and failed to prevent the spread of disinformation.<\/p>\n

She said its algorithms \u201cprioritise the spread of lies laced with anger and hate over facts\u201d.<\/p>\n
