For instance, at one Senate judiciary hearing, the Republican senator John Kennedy of Louisiana let Facebook\u2019s Colin Stretch have it.<\/p>\n<p>Kennedy confronted Stretch, the company\u2019s former general counsel, with a report that Facebook can micro-target emotionally vulnerable teens, asking: \u201cWas that reporting wrong?\u201d Stretch responded with a standard Facebook line: \u201cThat reporting relied on an internal document that was overstated.\u201d It didn\u2019t satisfy Kennedy. \u201cYour power sometimes scares me,\u201d he said.
