The Cabinet Office has been fined \u00a3500,000 by the UK\u2019s data watchdog after the postal addresses of the 2020 New Year honours recipients were disclosed online<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Information Commissioner\u2019s Office (ICO) found officials failed to put in place \u201cappropriate technical and organisational measures\u201d to prevent the unauthorised disclosure of personal information in breach of data protection law.<\/p>\n
