With the Beijing Olympics just weeks away, concerns are mounting over a mandatory health app for competing athletes, after a new report<\/a> revealed the app contains security flaws and a list of \u201cpolitically sensitive\u201d words that have been marked for censorship.<\/p>\n

The report<\/a>, published by University of Toronto\u2019s research and strategic policy unit Citizen Lab, found that the My2022 app, which will be used to monitor athletes\u2019 health and travel data, has a \u201cdevastating\u201d encryption flaw that leaves users\u2019 files and media vulnerable.<\/p>\n
