One study by the UK\u2019s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) revealed how millions are using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/technology-47974583\">their pet\u2019s name, football team names, \u2018password\u2019 and \u201c123456\u201d<\/a> to access online services.<\/p>\n<p>But this leaves you wide open to attack: cybercriminals can crack weak passwords in seconds using automated tools. \u201cA hacker needs roughly two seconds to crack an 11-character password made up of numbers,\u201d says Alex Balan, director of security research at security company Bitdefender.
