Elon Musk has said a robot business will be worth more than Tesla\u2019s cars, and on Friday investors, customers and potential workers expect to see a prototype at Tesla\u2019s \u201cAI Day\u201d that could prove whether the bot named \u201cOptimus\u201d is ready for work.<\/p>\n

The robot will be the star of the AI show, but Musk is also expected to discuss Tesla\u2019s long-delayed self-driving technology. In May, the CEO said that the world\u2019s most valuable carmaker would be \u201cworth basically zero\u201d without achieving full self-driving capability, and it faces growing regulatory investigations, as well as technological hurdles.<\/p>\n
