In 2018, Canadian photographer Scott A Woodward had set up camp in the shadow of one, the Yick Cheong building, to shoot an ad campaign for Foot Locker. \u201cIt\u2019s a heavy, teeming, living organism; a crazy cacophony of life and colour,\u201d he says. \u201cThere are 10,000 people living there, and people travel from all over to see it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The team was large and busy, vying for space in the courtyard with tourists and Instagrammers drawn to the building after it featured in the films <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/film\/2014\/jun\/28\/transformers-age-extinction-review-michael-bay-robots\" title=\"\">Transformers: Age of Extinction<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/film\/2017\/mar\/29\/ghost-in-the-shell-review-scarlett-johansson-remake\" title=\"\">Ghost in the Shell<\/a>.
