Ten years since dating app Tinder first encouraged users to swipe through potential partners<\/a> based largely on their looks, some singles are doing away with profile photos altogether. In the absence of Cilla and \u201cour Graham\u201d, those looking for love are turning instead to a new cohort of \u201cblind dating apps\u201d in the hope of making more meaningful connections.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m already on Tinder, Badoo, Bumble, Hinge \u2013 all of them!\u201d says Victoria Brown, a 26-year-old client success manager from Upminster, east London. \u201cA blind dating app seemed like a good idea because usually you think: \u2018Oh, he\u2019s really good-looking\u2019 but then, when you start talking, the chat\u2019s not that good. Not seeing what someone looks like, at least at first, gives it a bit of a twist \u2013 although I was nervous about the reveal.\u201d<\/p>\n
