One city in China thinks so \u2013 in a bid to boost the marriage rate, it\u2019s launched <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2023\/mar\/20\/state-sponsored-matchmaking-app-launched-in-china\">a state-sponsored matchmaking app<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>On the agenda for the week ahead: Amazon\u2019s anti-trust case nears, even as the company lays off <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/technology\/2023\/mar\/20\/amazon-cut-jobs-layoffs\">9,000 more employees<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/technology\/2023\/jan\/05\/amazon-to-axe-18000-jobs-citing-economic-uncertainty\">after canning 18,000 in January<\/a>).
