Italy\u2019s privacy watchdog has temporarily banned ChatGPT, after raising concerns about a recent data breach and the legal basis for using personal data to train the popular chatbot.<\/p>\n

The Italian Data Protection Authority described the move as a provisional measure \u201cuntil ChatGPT respects privacy\u201d. The watchdog said it was imposing an \u201cimmediate temporary limitation on the processing of Italian users\u2019 data\u201d<\/a> by ChatGPT\u2019s owner, the San Francisco-based OpenAI.<\/p>\n
